Operate a 20-tonne excavator safely and efficiently. Undertake cargo handling and material movement activities as directed. Conduct pre-start inspections and identify equipment defects. Work safely within confined operating areas onboard the vessel. Comply with all safety, environmental and operational procedures. Maintain accurate operational records as required. Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members. Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.
Essential: Demonstrated experience operating excavators (20-tonne or similar). Current excavator ticket/licence and relevant competencies. Strong commitment to workplace health and safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts. Desirable: Experience operating machinery in confined environments. Previous marine, port, mining or bulk cargo handling experience. Current driver licence. Additional machinery licences/tickets.
