Job Description Job Description Medical Assistant - Clinical + Front Office Rotation | Full-Time | McKinney, TX Pay: $20-$23 per hour, based on relevant experience and qualifications Luma Pediatrics is a new, tech-forward pediatric practice in McKinney focused on exceptional care, efficient workflows, and a warm experience for children and families. We use Athena and Phreesia to reduce paperwork so our team can focus on what matters most: our patients and families. We are looking for a dependable, positive Medical Assistant who is comfortable working in both clinical and front-office roles. What Makes This Role Different Our Medical Assistants rotate weekly between two roles: Clinical Care MA * Room patients and obtain age-appropriate vitals * Perform rapid testing, vision/hearing screening, and specimen collection * Prepare and administer vaccines * Complete medication reconciliation, clinical intake, and discharge Patient Experience MA * Welcome families and manage front-office flow * Assist with Athena and Phreesia check-in exceptions * Answer phones and help coordinate patient needs * Verify demographics, insurance, and required authorizations * Help the clinical MA with stocking, vaccine prep, calls, and other tasks when the front desk is caught up Schedule * Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:15 AM-4:15 PM * Wednesday: morning only * Every other Saturday morning as part of the MA rotation * Approximately 36-40 hours per week * No routine evening hours What We're Looking For * 1-2+ years of Medical Assistant experience; pediatrics strongly preferred * CMA/RMA certification preferred, or equivalent clinical experience * Comfortable with EHRs and technology; Athena and/or Phreesia experience is a plus * Organized, efficient, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment * Warm, professional, team-oriented, and willing to help wherever needed The Luma Way Our team values timeliness, integrity, innovation, excellence, and smiles.
